Of Waves and Dragons
A popular Prince who was slain by his father, High King Vortigern
The first and only son of Vortigern from his first marriage Lamint was not a very motivated youth. His only real action was to lead the a group of rebelious nobles in 462 against his father in the Battle of Cambridge.
The following year, 463, his father King Vortigern calls for a meeting between himself and the rebilious lords to talk of peace. Lamint eager to end the fighting and bring peace to the country agrees to the meeting and leads the other lords there. However the whole thing is a ruse as every rebelious lord in attendance, including Lamint, is killed by the Saxons. It comes to be known as the Night of long knives.
